Social entrepreneurship – IPP

About this course

The course is an introduction to social entrepreneurship, where students are introduced to social entrepreneurship and its specificities, and are empowered to design a socially entrepreneurial initiative.

Expected learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to: – Understand the theoretical concepts associated with social entrepreneurship; – Identify social needs and develop social initiatives; – Ability to grasp and apply management knowledge in social organisations; – Characterise the process of strategic planning and resource management in social organisations; – Know the importance of mapping the main stakeholders in defining a strategy; – Know the strategies for income generation and funding sources that can be used in a social entrepreneurship project – Know the importance of the design and implementation of performance measurement systems; – Train for the construction of a social intervention plan;
