Individual Creativity – IPP

About this course

This is a course included in the 1st year of the 1st cycle in Innovation and Creativity, attended by Portuguese students and by students from other countries, especially from partner institutions with the aforementioned degree. In addition to addressing market trends, contextualizing consumer behavior at an international level, individual creative thinking tools are used to allow responses in line with what the market wants: Individual brainstorming; brain-writing; 6 Thinking hats; mind map; SCAMPER.

Expected learning outcomes

1-See with the students how creativity can be learned and developed in time through training.

2- Understand and analyse the main factors affecting Creativity;

3- Understand and discuss on the actual importance of creativity for companies;

4- Teach and discuss on how to stimulate individual creativity to help companies and brands.

Indicative Syllabus

Teaching / Learning Methodology

Practical exercises based on some case studies from main magazines (ex.: Marketeer; Distribuição Hoje; Hipersuper; Meios e Publicidade), at the moment, so that students can use creativity tools to (1) understand what brands may have done and/or (2) suggest on how brands must act in order to stay competitive and offer differentiation (products and services)
